Museum of the Grand Order of Water Rats

"To know your future you must know your past" - George Santayana

"When we recall the past, we usually find that it is the simplest - not the great occasions - that in retrospect give off the greatest glow of happiness" - Bob Hope Water Rat 772

Situated in the headquarters of The Grand Order of Water Rats’ building, the Museum exhibits a wealth of historical theatrical memorabilia. The rooms display costumes, props and artefacts, worn and used by many famous Music Hall, Variety and Television personalities, all of whom where Water Rats.

From actors to acrobats, via ventriloquists, singers, dancers, comedians, band-leaders, impressionists, jugglers, magicians, roller-skaters, circus impresarios, holiday camp pioneers, stilt-walkers, puppeteers, female impersonators, radio DJ's, musicians and even theatrical agents are represented in some way amongst the treasures of the Water Rats museum.

Special Tours of the Grand Order of Water Rats’ headquarters and its Museum are conducted throughout the year.
