Graham Walker (born 5 March 1948) is a British comedian, writer, and performer, best known as a long-standing member of the comedy group The Grumbleweeds.
Formed in Leeds in the early 1960s, The Grumbleweeds developed from a skiffle group into a comedy and musical act, combining humour, sketches, and song. Walker became a key member of the group, contributing to both performance and writing as their act evolved into a well-known name in British light entertainment.
The group gained national recognition through television, most notably with The Grumbleweeds Show, which ran on the BBC during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their style blended musical parody with character-based comedy, earning them a wide audience and establishing them as a familiar presence on British television and radio.
Beyond television, The Grumbleweeds maintained a strong connection to live performance, touring extensively and appearing in theatre and variety settings. Walker’s work within the group has been central to its longevity, with the act continuing to perform for many years.
As Water Rat No. 865, Graham Walker represents the continued link between traditional variety and modern entertainment, maintaining the spirit of comedy, music, and live performance associated with the Order.
