1866 - 1935 died aged 69
It is surprising that so little is known about this performer, considering the large number of items of sheet music located.
All that can presently (February 2025) be gleaned about Charles Bignell from sheet music covers and Internet searches is that he was a successful English Music Hall performer who was featured in some 26 works published between 1890 and 1901.
His portrait appears on I Remembered, composed and sung by himself, words by Charles Wilmot and published by Francis, Day & Hunter, London W.C.2, England.
