Steve Rawlings is an internationally acclaimed comedy juggler and variety entertainer, known for combining outstanding technical skill with visual comedy, physical theatre and sharp stand-up humour.
Steve developed a distinctive performance style that breaks down the traditional barriers between comedy and juggling. His act features an extraordinary collection of original routines, including juggling ping-pong balls with his mouth, balancing bottles and glasses, performing with flaming torches and his celebrated furniture-juggling routine involving a chair, table and vase of flowers.
His career received an early boost when he appeared as a guest star in the West End production of Sugar Babies, alongside Hollywood legends Mickey Rooney and Ann Miller. He was subsequently invited to perform in the Royal Variety Performance before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, becoming the first British juggler in 50 years to receive the honour.
Steve has appeared on more than 100 television programmes around the world and has entertained audiences in theatres, comedy clubs, cruise ships, corporate events and modern circus productions. His international career has also seen him perform for royalty, heads of state and members of the armed forces, including appearances in active war zones.
Among his most prestigious engagements was a special performance at the Summit of the Americas, attended by 32 heads of state. His ability to perform in several languages has also allowed him to entertain audiences across Europe and beyond.
During the pandemic, when live performances were brought to a halt, Steve turned his attention to breaking world records. He became a seven-time Guinness World Record holder, achieving remarkable feats of balance involving a shopping trolley, guitar, cricket bat, baseball bat, pool cue and wine glasses.
Steve’s combination of comedy, originality and exceptional physical skill has earned him acclaim throughout the entertainment industry. His act remains a striking example of the very best in British variety entertainment.
Steve Rawlings is proud to be Water Rat number 922 of the Grand Order of Water Rats.
