RIKKI JAY

BIOGRAPHY

Rikki Jay is a British comedian, actor, writer and pantomime performer known for his energetic stage presence, audience interaction and work across television, theatre and live entertainment.

Rikki first gained wider recognition during the 1990s after appearing on London Weekend Television’s
The Big Big Talent Show. This led to further television appearances including Talking Telephone Numbers, Gagging For It, Net.Comedy, The Big Stage, and Channel 5 features such as Jaywalking and ’Ere’s One For You Rikki. He also worked as a presenter and entertainment reporter for regional television.

Alongside television, Rikki built a successful live career performing in theatres, on cruise ships, and for British forces overseas, entertaining troops in locations including Bosnia, Northern Ireland, the Falklands and the Middle East. His international work has also taken him to venues in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, where he appeared as part of a national tour with Warner Bros’
Looney Tunes.

A familiar face in British pantomime, Rikki has starred as principal comedian in productions across the UK. He spent eight years starring in and co-writing the Theatre Royal Norwich pantomime and has appeared in productions for Crossroads Pantomimes alongside Christopher Biggins. He has also performed at major venues including the London Palladium and the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Rikki was honoured with the Variety Club “Premier Artiste” award and is also recognised for supporting young performers as a patron of The Garage Theatre School.
