JAY RAWLINGS

BIOGRAPHY

Juggler and variety entertainer Jay Rawlings.

Jay’s showbiz story began at the age of 4, when his dad (Steve Rawlings, a fellow Water Rat) balanced him on a chair on his chin! sparking a lifelong passion for performing and setting him on a path that’s taken him across the globe.
Fast forward a few decades, and Jay is now an internationally acclaimed comedy juggler, variety performer, magician, and cruise ship headliner.

With a unique mix of jaw-dropping skill and razor-sharp timing, his performances are equal parts impressive and hilarious—delighting audiences from Europe to the far east and everywhere in between.

Jay first burst into the public spotlight on “Britain’s Got Talent”, where he astounded the judges and millions of viewers by balancing 11 chairs on his chin, smashing a Guinness World Record in the process. The clip went viral, racking up over 33 million views and launching a wave of worldwide bookings and media attention.

But that was just the start. Jay has since gone on to break 16 Guinness World Records (and counting), including three at the legendary Glastonbury Festival, one live on Heart FM’s Breakfast Show with Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston, and even a special record set for Her Majesty’s Forces.

He’s performed for an incredible range of clients and celebrities, including Sir Cliff Richard, Dame Joan Collins, and the FC Basel football team. He has made memorable appearances on TV shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and even a national Cadbury’s ad campaign.

Whether he’s on a luxury liner, a festival stage or breaking world records, Jay brings an unforgettable mix of comedy, danger, and charm to every performance.

He’s a true showman, with deep roots in the tradition of British variety, and a proud member of the Grand Order of Water Rats.
