DOMINIC FERRIS
BIOGRAPHY
Dominic Ferris is a British pianist, arranger, conductor, producer and musical director whose career spans classical music, musical theatre, recording and live performance. Recognised internationally for his versatility at the piano, he has worked with some of the entertainment industry’s most celebrated artists and orchestras.
Born in Brighton, Sussex, Dominic studied at the Royal College of Music, where he trained as a pianist while developing strong connections within London’s theatre and recording industries. Early in his career he worked extensively in the West End as a rehearsal pianist and musical director, later assisting conductor David Charles Abell on the world premiere production of Finding Neverland.
Dominic has collaborated on numerous chart-topping albums recorded at Abbey Road Studios, working alongside artists including Dame Shirley Bassey, Michael Ball, Alfie Boe and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His orchestral and recording work has contributed to several major releases, including the Elvis Presley symphonic albums If I Can Dream and Christmas with Elvis and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a live performer, Dominic tours internationally both as a solo artist and as part of the acclaimed piano duo The Piano Brothers with Elwin Hendrijanto. The pair are known for their inventive arrangements and collaborations with major orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra. Dominic is also one half of musical theatre comedy and concert act Ferris & Milnes, whose fast-paced musical medleys have appeared at venues including the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Lincoln Centre, New York.
A Steinway & Sons Global Ambassador, Dominic is recognised for championing music performance and education through concerts, recordings and online performances, while continuing to work across theatre, television and international concert stages.
